Two shows/movies that i watched this week:
1.Facing The Giants
In his six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never had a winning season. Even the hope of a new season is squelched when the best player on his Shiloh Eagles decides to transfer schools. After losing their first three games of the season, the coach discovers a group of fathers are plotting to have him fired. Combined with pressures at home, Coach Taylor has lost hope in his battle against fear and failure.
However, an unexpected challenge helps him find a purpose bigger than just victories. Daring to trust God to do the impossible, Coach Taylor and the Eagles discover how faith plays out on the field … and off.
With God, all things are possible …
This is quite a nice(and hilarious) show about a person that had failed in something for about a long period of time and later surrendered his life to God. One day, a man named Mr. Bridges who had prayed for the school for a number of years approached Coach Taylor and told him a verse in Revelation and about the story of two farmers who prayed to God for rain but only one prepared his fields to retrieve it. Who's fields will get rain from God? Watch it for yourself.
2.Life Story(channel 5, 9.00pm) : Mr. Roland Tay
Mr. Roland Tay is the person who believed that every single person whether rich or poor, should get a respectable send-off. He created a funeral parlour that has fair prices and gives free funeral services to poor people. He was once accused of stealing money and getting famous because of his good deeds. Later, one family member of a victim gave him 100K from the money collected during the funeral. Mr. Roland Tay did not want or need the money but the money was already in his name so he gave the money to different organisations such as the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and several different organizations.
